GPS Data

Maine Technical Source was one of the first facilities in North America to provide Base Station data to GPS users at no charge. The original base station consisted of a Trimble Pathfinder Community Base Station logging data continuously. This data was then posted to a BBS for users to download via a modem.

Today MTS has two CORS base stations, one in Yarmouth,ME (PID AJ2693) and Woburn,MA (PID AJ4072). There is also a third Universal Reference Station operating at our Syracuse, NY location. This site is currently in process of becoming a CORS base station.. Also, this data should be available on the NGS CORS web site shortly. We archive the data available for a 30-day period.
